Security when writing checks

I missed the discussion about security when writing checks, that I understand was presented there recently. I’d like to know what others think, besides the person who gave the seminar, if we need to be concerned about mailing a check using the mailboxes within Rossmoor to someone else in Rossmoor.

When you write a check to someone who lives in Rossmoor and mail it in one of the blue USPS mailboxes it is a secure as any other USPS service. The white mailboxes are only for sending checks to MOD Departments like Accounting, and these do not require postage.

Putting your mail in the blue US Post Office boxes are perfectly safe (especially in Rossmoor).  I advise  not clip out-going mail to individual units personal “mail box” for the mail person to pick up when delivering the daily mail. Especially, if it contains checks or confidential information) since anyone walking along can grab it.
